Introduction and Benefits of Hydroforming Technology

Please join us for an informative presentation and discussion on the topic of hydroforming technology presented by Mr. Bo Larsson, Product Manager of AP&T North America, Inc., headquartered in Monroe, NC. Bo Larsson is a 35–year veteran of AP&T providing technical and sales support in the areas of hydroforming and deep drawing applications. He is responsible for technical and sales support for Europe and North America.

This presentation will cover the following topics:

AP&T designs, manufactures and markets automation, presses, tools and complete production lines for the sheetmetal and tube forming industry. They’re recognized experts in forming technology and automated processes, delivering complete production systems where they assume complete supplier responsibility.

Their customers consist of subcontractors in the automotive, domestic appliances and indoor climate businesses. They offer an extensive range of products that are useful for many other metal forming companies. They are present in more than 20 countries, either with their own companies or through independent agents.

COST: $50 per member, $65 per nonmember

Please join us for an informative breakfast meeting and discussion on the sharing of Best Practices with industry professionals to discuss one of the biggest challenges facing our industry today. Meet and speak with other industry leaders followed by a tour of the CBIA and the CT Community College’s Technology Regional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing “Manufacture Your Future” Careers Expo II at the Connecticut Expo Center.

Keynote Speakers:

All attendees will have the opportunity to tour the “Manufacture Your Future” event at the Expo Center where more than 3,000 Connecticut high school and middle school students will have the opportunity to see what goes on in manufacturing. Through the replication of a factory floor, students will experience such processes as CNC programming, laser cutting, stamping, CAD design, injection molding and coil slitting.

The Expo is designed to attract any student interested in math, science and technology who may want to learn more about careers in manufacturing including engineering, machining, drafting/design and CNC programming to name a few. There also will be exhibits of Connecticut-made high-tech products along with student demonstrations of innovative award-winning inventions.

COST: Attendance is “free” and a continental breakfast will be served!
